Pratt and Whitney LVDT Gage Heads

Pratt and Whitney LVDT Gage heads feature a
linear air bearing that supports the probe in a
square frictionless sleeve for optimum accuracy,
repeatability, and linearity. With a light gaging
force, this LVDT transducer is ideal for measuring
highly finished or soft surfaces, and tool setting
applications where the tip must contact the sharp,
fragile edges of diamond tools. These probes are
designed to connect directly to all Pratt and
Whitney electronic amplifiers and computer interface
modules.

- Air bearing geometry provides anti-rotational
and centralized support of the probe.
- Vacuum/air connection to the main exhaust port
permits automatic extension and retraction of the
probe and allows gage force adjustment.
- Air exiting from each port prevents
contamination from entering the bearing.
